Miami-based indie artist Julia Bhatt has released “For the World”, the second single from her forthcoming sophomore EP, Grab Bag, out independently November 17. Bhatt calls this single her “big sigh”; after taking a break from making music out of necessity, she is back with songs that came “very naturally” and “peacefully.”
“For the World” is another authentically Julia single where she explores genres and blends styles seamlessly. With the music being reminiscent of a Cigarettes After Sex ballad, her unique vocal vibrato reminds that the song is about what it felt like when she was dealing with a “depressed mind.” “Working and waiting and falling and breaking your back, for the world / I just wanna feel like, like I have a choice / Cuz lately it feels like I’m losing that voice,” she sings.
