Jax Hollow drops a love bomb on “Fallout”

Whether she’s wearing leather pants, ripped jeans or a dress fit for the American heartland, Jax Hollow is one of today’s most riveting artists. Her new single “Fallout” is an enticing preview of what’s to come on her third studio album Come Up Kid, arriving later this fall.

Jax is a guitar ace, songwriter and vocalist who has a John Mayer-esque ability to cover a wide range of styles – from Hendrix to Americana. Her music feels like a fabulous blend of Charlie Worsham and Melissa Etheridge – and she recently opened for the latter at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium and other venues. Jax has also shared the bill with rock icons like Billy Gibbons and Sammy Hagar.

“‘Fallout’ is a real story, and the song itself was written as a ‘first date’ gift by yours truly,” says Jax. “Taking only 45 minutes to write, it was an honest stream-of-consciousness at the time. It’s about weighing the consequences of falling out of love and falling into something with real magnitude, whilst still having one foot in the door with another partner. It’s celebrating the aftermath of setting off the bomb.”

Speaking of fallout, Jax Hollow’s music is like an atom bomb compared to most BB gun-wielding performers. She’s one of the most gifted and original artists of this decade.
