Is it 2007 again? Can anonymity still be sustained as it was in those early blog-loving years? Well, it looks like hopeless bloom is testing out that hypothesis. With only two tracks posted on their Soundcloud page and no social media presence to speak of, there is precious little information to be found. But maybe that’s okay — instead of focusing on the who, let’s focus on the what.
And the what is “I just wish u noticed”, a staticky blur of synths and beats that swells into an orchestral roar, with other sounds peering through the noise to help facilitate this engaging bit of musical world building. It’s the sound of 3am revelations discovered on the dancefloor, electronic euphoria rising until it consumes everything within reach. It carries you along on a wave of sustained bliss, patiently waiting until you submit to its overwhelming sensations. Let go, and don’t bother holding your breath.
