Hamish Anderson honors the 70s guitar greats on “You’re Mine”

Australian guitar ace Hamish Anderson’s new single “You’re Mine” is a midtempo number reminiscent of Jeff Beck and Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac. It’s the second single from his upcoming album Electric due in October.

Anderson’s album is being co-produced by David Davis (The War On Drugs) and features guest appearances from violinist extraordinaire Jessy Green (Foo Fighters) and Ziggy Marley keyboardist Jerry Borge.

With regard to the new single, Hamish says, “It’s a song that is quite vulnerable and open in its lyrics but the music has a triumphant feel and I enjoyed mixing those two elements together. It was also a song that I knew had to have strings on it. We were very lucky to have Jessy Green add these beautiful strings.”

“You’re Mine” has the fuzztone feel of classic T-Rex songs – and it’s the perfect song for a Sunday morning when you’re not seeking sonic overload.
