Of all the Wu-Tang members to have a sitcom, GZA would be towards the bottom of the list. O.D.B., god rest his soul, would obviously be #1, but Method Man and RZA are already known comedic talents and could easily entertain me for a half-hour. But, behold, coming soon to FX is the GZA vehicle Igotchaback.
The half-hour, single camera show will follow the fictional relationship between a rapper and his manager. It has been in development with publicist Heathcliff Berru (Life or Death PR & Management) and actor David Krumholtz (Harold & Kumar, Numb3rs) for a couple years. Nothing official has been said in terms of casting or timetable, but all logical signs point toward GZA and Krumholtz as the leads. We’ll keep you posted when more details arise. (via T.M.T.)
