Garbage launch record label; new album in spring

Madison’s Garbage, who are fronted by very-Scottish singer and 90’s dream woman Shirley Manson, will return with a new album, their first in seven years, this spring. The finishing touches are currently being place on the affair, the band’s fifth record overall. In case you don’t remember, Garbage is best known for their songs “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Stupid Girl,” and “Special.”

Also of note is that Garbage will be self-releasing this new record on their own new label, called STUNVOLUME. But, Garbage will still receive a little help getting their record out around the globe, with distributing deals with Cooperative Music in Asia, Europe and Latin America, Liberator Music/The Mushroom Group in Australia and New Zealand, Sony in Japan and Universal Canada in Canada. We’ll keep you posted when we have a release date or some new music from Garbage.
