Car Seat Headrest are set to release a new album called Making A Door Less Open on May 1 through Matador. Today they share the second glimpse at the new collection in the form of song and video “Martin”.
The video is shot in a kitchen, with a person who may or may not be Will Toledo dressed in full protective gear while doing the washing up. This is Toledo’s “collaborator” 1 Trait Danger, with whom he created the new album (read more about that here). The alarming look is countered by the humdrum activity, and perfectly sums up “Martin”, a frantic song that’s also beautifully melodic, filled with acoustic guitars and brass.
