We’ve been teased and teased, but now coming off the back of his spectacular cameo appearances in Kanye West’s Coachella-closing headline set, Justin Vernon has given us the official release date for the second album by Bon Iver, which will be called Bon Iver, Bon Iver. The album is set for release through Jagjaguwar on June 21st.
As suspected, the painting shown in the teaser that was posted last week will be the album cover, which is above. Looking at the tracklist there are a lot of names of places in North America, which may have been inspired by the extensive touring done by Vernon with Bon Iver and his other bands. We’ll have to see if there’s an underlying theme when the album comes around. If you missed the mesmerising 51-second clip from the album then check it out below, where you’ll also find the album’s tracklist.
