London band bar italia are releasing their debut album Tracey Denim this Friday (May 19) and today have shared one final teaser from it called “changer”.
This one finds Jezmi Tarik Fehmi taking the lead vocal to begin with, sighing his way between jangling guitars and propulsive drums; “didn’t get the chance to say, I want to more / Doesn’t have to be this way, it’s too pure.” While the song doesn’t progress from this place of agitation, bar italia draw out the many shades of dissatisfaction, especially as Nina Cristante’s airier voice intertwines majestically with Sam Fenton’s defeated tones in the chorus. “changer” is the kind of song that hooks you in purely on its gorgeous tone, then keeps you sustained in a place of subtly beautiful contemplation.
Watch the visualiser for “changer” below or find the song on streamers.
