Annie Tracy is on the doorstep of stardom with “Summertime”

Producer Tricky Stewart knows brilliance when he hears it. He’s produced Beyoncé, Whitney Houston and Rihanna – and now he’s helping launch the career of LA artist Annie Tracy, whose new song “Summertime” has a silky-smooth feel that reminds me of Kelly Rowland.

“I wanted to write a song that would make you want to go buy a convertible just so you could cruise around with the top down in the summertime and listen to it,” says Tracy.
“And maybe also a song that would make you want to take your clothes off haha. You know, nude is the fashion.”

Last year, Tracy released some songs that prove she’s on the verge of stardom. The mesmerizing “Move” sounds like an even better version of Toni Braxton – and “Times It By Two” has an irresistible Minnie Riperton groove.
