Mesita will return this year with a new album called Future Proof, and naturally we’re all really very excited about that. It’s been a while since we heard something from him (three months to be exact, when he dropped “Hostages“) but he’s back now with a new track called “Kingston.” Like his previous songs from his upcoming album, there’s a notable presence of pianos and texture, and the whole thing plays out like the artwork which is above: glassy and shimmering in the light, but through it can can see through to an endlessly clear world of possibilities. “Kingston” continues the new wide-look approach Cooley seems to be adopting with his music, resulting in something that resembles a tapestry before it does a song.
