Electronic producer André Obin released his debut record The Arsonist on March 19th via Sky Council Recordings. But prior to the album’s release, he dropped a new track called “Lemondrop,” and the song’s densely packed instrumentation and deceptively simple beat all add a layer of mystery and hazy association that works well with the sometimes ambiguous sounds that Obin deals in. The track seems to be pulled from some long forgotten memory that’s just now seeing the light of day but still resisting any indepth analysis. It sits right on the edge of our periphery, and it seems content t stay there. Listen to “Lemondrop” below.
