In case you haven’t heard, there is an Occupy Wall Street benefit happening tonight at Shea Stadium with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Titus Andronicus, and the So So Glos. Tickets are $15 and available at Main Drag Bushwick Supply Annex, which is at 285 Meserole St. There will be no tickets sold at the door. All proceeds go to the National Lawyers Guild.
While the two bands at the top of the bill are probably familiar to you, the So So Glos are also worth getting to know. The band, who from the picture above have obviously been playing together since they were children, will be releasing their LP, Blowout, as the first release from Shea Stadium Records in late-spring. We’ve already offered you “Lost Weekend,” and now check out another tune from the group, “Son Of An American,” which is a direct response to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Enjoy.
