While it has been speculated that Lana Del Rey had signed to Interscope for a while now, it was easy to forget that none of these rumors had been confirmed. But, well, now they have. Go figure.
Pitchfork points out that Billboard’s recent blurb about Del Rey’s first week single sales for “Video Games” included the tidbit that “the recent Interscope Records signee’s debut album is due in early 2012.” Del Rey also is shooting a new music video for her next single, titled “Born 2 Die.” Sounds like she has been hanging around with Titus Andronicus. As for her upcoming album, we’ll keep you posted for when there is a concrete announcement.
