In the year 2006, Phoenix released the song “Long Distance Call,” and it was a hit on college campuses across the nation, but not much else. Five years later, and they are one of the biggest bands in the world. Will Tokyo Police Club see the same rise after covering “Long Distance Call?” Doubtful, but who knows? Either way, check out their rendition of the tune, which is probably their best so far in this 10-day covers project. Ray Suen of Mariachi El Bronx joins them this time.
