Let the face-melting commence. Mono/poly’s newest track, taken from the Manifestations EP, is a rich blend of ethereal synth whistles, analog compression and near chip-tune like noise. “Forest Dark” packs a real punch. But as the second half of the song trails into owl hoots and cricket hums you’re transported into a gorgeous forest that’s nearly the opposite of the frantic first half. Mono/poly’s forthcoming Manifestations EP will be released on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label.
