The silent swed is starting to make his long awaited return from the spectacular Night Falls Over Kortedala. Jens Lekman‘s newest single “The End of the World is Bigger than Love” follows directly in the footsteps of 2007’s Night Falls, combining pop percussion and stirring strings to his equally beautiful voice. It would make sense that this spectacular track eventually lands on his forthcoming LP, but no official announcement has been made. You can read a full explanation of the song by Jens on his website, or just read my favorite excerpt:
It’s a song of hope. When love turns it’s back on you it’s nice to know there’s a world out there that doesn’t give a shit about your problems. That forces you to keep your head held high and move on. A world that is fragile and beautiful.
The man is impeccable, and so is his ear for music. I highly recommend this single for both lovers and haters of past Jens material.
