Annie Scherer brings Eilish-style brilliance to “Everywhere I Go (Everybody’s The Same)”

Nashville artist Annie Schererโ€™s new single โ€œEverywhere I Go (Everybodyโ€™s The Same)โ€ is a remarkable record that ends with a titanic wall of sound that makes the 60s Phil Spector wall of sound feel like Legos in comparison.

Schererโ€™s vocal on the song has the dark brilliance of artists like Billy Eilish and Lana Del Rey. The track is an all-female effort, written by Annie and Suzie Buist and co-produced by the artist and Kelley Cronin.

Commenting on the single, Scherer says: โ€œAs an artist, I often feel pressured to have an โ€˜influencer-typeโ€™ social media presence, and to be extroverted with a loud personality. Creatives are often misunderstood in this way. A lot of us are observers and channel our energy and emotions to our craft. โ€œEverywhere I Go (Everybodyโ€™s the Same)โ€ is about being heard without being seen and that itโ€™s okay to exist outside of societal expectations.โ€

Scherer is a classically trained pianist and vocalist whoโ€™s also an experienced film editor. Given the highly dramatic content of this new single, we anticipate that Annieโ€™s videos will likewise be legendary. This mega-talented newcomer may turn out to be the next Billie Eilish and Greta Gerwig all rolled into one.
