Scott ‘Spiral Stairs’ Kannberg has explained that Pavement are very likely to write new music after their incredibly hyped 2010 reunion tour. Kannberg said, “If it’s enjoyable for us, I think it is inevitable that we’ll make some more music.” Looking from the point of the view of new-Pavement-material-craving fans, he knows people would like to hear new music, but the band is currently just waiting to see how well the tour goes. A formal rehearsal has yet to occur but Kannberg admits that this tour won’t be a ‘regular tour’ and that there are a few surprises in store for lucky concertgoers. If his statements haven’t excited you yet, he added that Pavement would add more tour dates since tickets are selling well.
Also, Pavement have added four tour dates in Japan. Full itinerary below.
