US rock band My Morning Jacket have announced nine shows in Southeastern USA between April 20 and May 2, their first in more than a year. The opening act will be The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, which MMJ frontman Jim James recorded two songs with for The Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s upcoming benefit LP Preservation which is to be released on February 16. Other guests on the album include Tom Waits, Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, Pete Seeger and Andrew Bird.
