There has been a lot of talk about a possible reunion for months now, and we can now confirm that The Smiths are reuniting this summer for a string of UK tour dates. While the exact details were never given as to why the band broke up, the bad relationship between Morrissey and Johnny Marr has led many to believe that the two were lovers, angry after a nasty break up. Whatever the real reason is, it’s been reported that the two are still a bit hostile.
In an interview with NME, Mike Joyce said the two will only play on stage together under the conditions that a curtain be put up to separate the two. Fans won’t have to worry much, because the entire band will be in full view. Morrissey further defended the curtain by singing the lyrics to “What Difference Does It Make.”
