Folk mainstay Justin Townes Earle announced that in the midst of swirling legal rumors, he will cancel the rest of his fall tour in support of Harlem River Blues and check into a rehab facility. Earle was arrested after a show at Radio Radio in Indianapolis last Thursday on charges of battery, public intoxication and resisting arrest. Rumors suggest that he punched a female fan in the face, but the performer denies these allegations, stating that “reports surfacing online about the incident in Indianapolis are not accurate.” In a statement on his website, Justin added “I am looking forward to having my day in court. I would also like to say that I oppose violence against women in any form.”
