Throat-singing Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder just announced that he’ll be hitting the road in June and July to promote his upcoming solo release, appropriately titled “Ukulele Songs,” which comes out May 31st. For support he’s bringing along folky Irish songwriter Glen Hansard, known for his work with The Swell Season, The Frames and the film “Once,” who also makes a guest appearance on the new record.
The tour will stop at some of the classier venues on the East and West coasts, like Boston’s Wang Theater and Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, with a few midwest stops in between. The opulence will cost you though, with ticket prices set for $78 each. If that doesn’t curb your desire to see Eddie bust out his uke skills though, tickets go on sale April 1st at noon.
