It was reported in late 2008 that Apple Corps. was partnering with MTV and Harmonix to create a Rock Band-style game based on the music of the Beatles. It was announced Thursday that Rock Band: The Beatles is now scheduled for release on September 9th. While specific details and song selection are not yet known, the press release stated that the game will feature guitar controllers designed to replicate the instruments the Beatles used throughout their career.
