The Owl Mag had a chance to sit down and interview Yoni Wolf of the hip-hop/indie rock band Why?. Although humorous, the only thing notable here is a bit of information on Why?’s upcoming album at the 1:03 mark.
According to Yoni, Why?’s new album will be entitled Eskimo Snow and will be released in the Fall.
“Eskimo Snow” is also the title of a new song that the group has been playing as early as 2007 (I guess this also makes it the title track, heh). Multiple performances of the song can be found all over Youtube, but below is our favorite:
A version of “Eskimo Snow” entitled “Eskimo Snow (sock hop version)” is also available now on the Tiny Mix Tapes Vol. 1: Darfur compilation, a charity CD with all proceeds going to the victims in the Sudanese region.
Whether they were given permission or not, Chickens Don’t Clap! have an mp3 of “Eskimo Snow (sock hop version)” posted. Regardless, go check out the Tiny Mix Tapes Vol. 1: Darfur compilation and support a good cause.
