Megafaun have always had an experimental side, but it is their more traditional and melodic jams that they usually put forward first, making “These Words” somewhat surprising as a first taste of their upcoming self-titled album (out September 20th via Hometapes). Still, anyone expecting Megafaun to simply regurgitate the work they have done before will be disappointed, as “These Words” is forward-thinking, and, well, pretty exciting as a look at things to come.
