Lower Dens had something of a cult favourite with their debut album Twin-Hand Movement a couple of years back; not heard by too many but almost universally loved by those who did. Today on their Facebook and Twitter they’ve announced that they’ve finished a new album and they’re giving away a new song called “Brains” on their official website (which we also have for you below).

No details of the release of their new album are available yet, but the tags of the “Brains” MP3 indicate that the album is titled Nootropics, and the song is on Ribbon Music’s soundcloud, so we guess they’ll be releasing it. So how does it sound? Summed up, we would say less sultry, more synthy. Check out “Brains” below and check back for full album details which we assume will be coming soon.
