A name that you are likely to hear a lot about in 2012 is Electric Guest, the Los Angeles duo of Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton. Their debut LP is due in the spring via Downtown Records and is produced by none other than Danger Mouse. Below, we have two tracks to get you acquainted with the band: “American Daydream” (via RCRDLBL) and “Troubleman” (via KCRW). The former makes it really apparent why they are working with Danger Mouse, as it has a distinct Broken Bells feel about it, while the latter takes the mid-tempo pop song standard and turns it into something truly epic.
