It has been a while since we’ve gotten a new song from Battles. Strangely enough just like plenty of other indie artists, they’ve given their new song to the Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack. It’s used as one of the soundtrack’s bonus tracks. Their new song is called “The Line,” and it is a rockin’ song in typical Battles-fashion.
“The Line” starts out smooth and atmospheric. You can actually hear Tyondai’s vocals pretty clear – which is a big difference from songs like “Atlas.” This songs “calm” state isn’t for long. Midway through, the song shifts into a more familiar territory for Battles. Key changes, shuffling drums, tribal chants.
