Pulling from traditional country and folk artists such as Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Laura Nyro, Oakland-based Eight Belles, aka singer/songwriter Jessi Philips and a rotating cast of musicians, are set to self-release their debut album Girls Underground on September 25th. Having already released the track “Buried Child” (hear it here) from the album, they’ve given us another taste of the record with earnest heartbreaker “Nolchi”. Listen to the track below.
