Talk of a new album from Xiu Xiu has been bubbling for a little while now – after all, they didn’t release one in 2011, which is strange for them, so one couldn’t have been far away.
In the last couple of days Jamie Stewart has taken to the band’s blog to post some details about the upcoming album. The LP will be entiteld Always and you can see the artwork above. Those living in the UK and Europe will be able to get their hands on the release on February 28th when it’s released by Bella Union. The rest of the world will receive it through Polyvinyl on March 6th. You can pre-order the album from here in Europe and here if you’re elsewhere. The LP album comes on white vinyl, but the first 500 from Polyvinyl will receive it on translucent pink vinyl!
