Young Dreams are set to release their upcoming record Between Places on March 5th via Modular Recordings. And they’ve just released the video for “First Days Of Something,” the second single from that forthcoming album. The video, which plays out more like a mini-movie documenting the gradual dissolution of a long-term relationship than a strict music video, was directed by frequent Young Dreams collaborator and creative ally Kristoffer Borgli. Borgli had this say about the creation of the video:
“This is the most personal video or film I’ve ever made, both in concept and story. I always try to connect certain periods of my life to specific songs, almost to the level of the actor in the video. And I thought it would be a good concept for a music video to have a character do that. The story is a cross between my own experience with a break-up last winter, and also the actors own experiences.”
