Wild Beasts’ third album Smother has been one of the most well-received albums of the year critically, due to its luscious arrangements and general ambition. In this video Hayden Thorpe and Tom Fleming of the band prove that their songs work in their most basic of states too, taking to the streets of Paris with nothing but an acoustic guitar and breaking out a cracking rendition of album highlight “Reach A Bit Further.” The guys do not look at all out of place in the bourgeousie surroundings of the French capital either, it’s all rather charming.
