Martin Scorsese has been hard at work for four years interviewing all sorts of people who new George Harrison for his new documentary on the man, entitled George Harrison: Living In The Material World. The three and a half hour (!) documentary seems to travel through his whole life in quite some depth, obviously focussing on The Beatles and beyond, with input from the likes of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Terry Gilliam, Eric Clapton, Yoko Ono, Phil Spector, Tom Petty and more. It’s hard to compress a 200+ minute movie into two minutes (then again it’s hard to compress a life like George Harrison’s into a movie at all), but this trailer got me pretty interested in the whole project.
The film premieres at the New York Film Festival, but will also be split into two parts and aired on HBO on October 5th and 6th. Watch the trailer below.
