UPDATE: As NycTaper helpfully informed us, Real Estate played three new songs in December as part of Yo La Tengo’s Hanukkah shows. You can download the full set over at that site.
New Jersey-based indie poppers Real Estate, debuted all new songs live a long way from home during the Singapore leg of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. About half of the 40 minute set contained new material, including the first song to feature Bassist Alex Bleeker on lead vocals. Building on the success of 2011’s Days the band seems to be continuing in much the same vein but with a less lo-fi sound. They are currently in Australia as part of the multi-venue festival.
