Pete Swanson is getting ready to release Punk Authority, an EP of his latest static-y, noise-drenched songs, on March 12th via Software/Mexican Summer. He’s already released one song, the cavernous and explosively unpredictable “Life Ends At 30,” and while his latest single “Grounds For Arrest” does have some of the same base structure, the song finds Swanson reining in the often lengthy passages found on that initial single and opting instead for a more concise examination of his often impenetrable textures and sounds.
