“Hide” by Sydney trio begins with tempered acoustic strums, punctuated by a few staccato punches of noise. It proves to be a taste of things to come as they band grow and swell over three and a half minutes, creating a bellowing force that’s as haunting and mysterious as the new accompanying video proves to be. In the clip (directed by Sean Dooley), a pair of strangers retreat from their day to day lives in the city and take to the woods, eventually throwing their hands and bodies into the air as they ritualistically dance in front of a bonfire. “Hide” is taken from the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut EP, which will drop sometime early next year. In the meantime, enjoy the video for “Hide” below.
