Well, in our talk with Gang Gang Dance, we asked them about their tendencies to improvise in relation to the more straight-ahead (relatively speaking) approach of their new album, Eye Contact. Brian Degraw offered, “I guess the percentage of improvisation will be slightly less, but we always have these open spaces in the set where we do that no matter what. It think if we don’t do that, we start to feel really uncomfortable.”
Thus, this live clip for which on their album is their most direct tune to date, “Mindkilla,” is nearly 15-minutes long. Yeah, Gang Gang Dance will always be Gang Gang Dance it seems, and that is pretty awesome. Check out the live clip below from their upcoming 4AD Sessions series.
