“‘Man, why does every black actor have to rap some?’ I dunno, all I know is I’m the best one.” Quite a claim from Donald Glover who has been making waves with his mixtapes as Childish Gambino, but has yet to release a full album. This is something that he will soon be rectifying since, as he explains at the start of this video, he has been hard at work on his debut.
Glover is in San Diego to promote Community, but while he’s there he also played a show at the House of Blues, and one fan managed to catch an unnamed new song that features a domineering few verses from the young rapper. Unfortunately the majority of what sounds like a killer beat is lost in the mix, but Glover’s lyrics are completely clear and give us yet more reason to get excited for his next release.
