Justin Vernon began the teasing last month when he revealed that the long awaited second album from Bon Iver is set for release this June. He’s teasing us even more now by releasing a 51 second video with 51 precious seconds of a gorgeous new song on it.
As for what’s in the video, it seems to be a home video of a painting, maybe it’s one that Vernon has painted (that’s why he’s been taking so long over this album!) or maybe he just bought it. Either way it seems he really likes it. The video comes to rest on a lone cabin in the center of the painting, which harks back to the mystique and tales of isolation that surrounded For Emma, Forever Ago.
It may only be 51 seconds but it’s a damn affecting and teasing 51 seconds. Watch below.
