The side-project of former Pains of Being Pure at Heart and The Depreciation Guild guitarist Christoph Hochheim, Ablebody finds the artist indulging in synth and beat based rhythms while still retaining the refined sense of pop construction that his former employers had in spades. Taken from his recently released All My Everybody EP, “Sally Hot Jazz” is a slice of hazy dream-pop that revels in its influences while setting itself apart from other bands who often mistake mimicry for homage. Hochheim recently released the video for this track, and it is awash in 80’s VHS tendencies and smoothed out silhouettes. Check out the appropriately hazy video for “Sally Hot Jazz” below.
