Canadian trio Timber Timbre are as tricky to pin down as their name is to say (yeah, it’s not that tricky, I know). They blend straighforward folk with psychedelic elements and on their new album, the fantastically named Creep On Creepin’ On, they’ve added a lot of darker and more mysterious elements that the album title alludes to. Also, following in the footsteps of this year’s Destroyer album, they have a lot of sexy and smooth saxophone solos which add to the general dark and magical aura of the sound.
You’ve already had a taste of Creep On Creepin’ On through first single “Black Water” and here’s your second bite of the cherry: the video for “Woman.” The song gives you a punch of those saxophones straight from the off and the strange video builds on the eerie vibe by showing a ritualistic, almost soulless interaction between a man and woman.
The good news is there’s not too long to wait until April 5th when Arts & Crafts releases Creep On Creepin’ On.
