Brooklyn singer/songwriter Aly Tadros released her sophomore album, the bucolic and emotionally affecting The Fits, back in January. And though we’re well past that release date and Tadros has already been on the road for some time in support of the record, she and her band have found the time to record a performance video for the song “Bad Thing” off The Fits. Recorded live in New York City, this video is a simple, though powerful, testimonial to Tadros and the band as they move casually and effortlessly through the complex rhythms and subtle musical interplay that the song requires. Between Tadros’ forceful vocals, wonderfully understated violin atmospherics, and a shuffling beat that seems to be equal parts jazz and classic country-influenced, the song is the perfect amalgamation of her pan-global influences and a great example of the multi-faceted musical aesthetic which she has so carefully cultivated since she began recording.
Beats Per Minute is pleased to premiere the latest video from Aly Tadros for “Bad Thing” off her recent album The Fits.
