When we originally posted Laura Marling’s “Sophia,” the fantastic lead single from her third album a couple of weeks ago it came with a video of sorts, but a very boring one that didn’t do much. Thankfully that wasn’t the official video and we now get the altogether much more interesting one. The video takes place in a cathedral, which is fitting since Marling has just announced that she will be touring cathedrals in the UK. Starting off, as the song does, centered all around Marling and her guitar, it expands as the song takes off to encompass more of her surroundings and her backing band. Watch below.
“Sophia” is the lead single from Laura Marling’s upcoming third album A Creature I Don’t Know, out September 12th on Virgin Records in the UK, and the following day on Ribbon Music in North America.
