Scottish indie popper Belle and Sebastian probably haven’t had to do a menial day’s work for over a decade now, since their records always do well and take them on tours around the world. I can’t say for sure, but I’m fairly confident that almost every band in their position would not swap it for a job that means hard and less satisfying work on a daily basis, but Belle and Sebastian are not most bands.
Their newest single, “Come On Sister” taken from last year’s Belle and Sebastian Write About Love, encourages the titular woman to get her life together. In the video for the song the band members act on this encouragement and each head back out into the grey working life of Scotland and pick up a regular job, the footage from which is quite enjoyable to watch. Check it out below.
