There seems to be a lull in new album announcements, but, instead, a wealth of information is flooding out about bands hitting the recording studio or finishing records. You know, like Los Campesinos!, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Grizzly Bear, and Yeasayer. Well, add a new name to the list: The Walkmen.
After another critically acclaimed record, Lisbon, released this last fall, The Walkmen have already written a bunch of new material and plan on hitting the studio to record a new record in November. It will be their sixth full-length of original material.
In an interview with Little Village Live, the band revealed that they are ready to record now, but due to festival commitments, the soonest they could put the new tunes to tape would be November. The band is playing some of the new stuff live, so if you have a chance to check out The Walkmen in the near future, you may get a glimpse into the next album. Check out the full interview below.
