Indie rockers The Walkmen have announced the release of their sixth studio album entitled Lisbon, the follow up to 2008’s incredible You & Me. Fat Possum will be the label to release this album on September 14th. Lisbon was recorded in half with previous producer Chris Zane and in half with John Congleton.
The band reports that they recorded 29 songs, but have wittled them down to the 11 best for the album itself, which will be 44 minutes long.
Concluding his note about the album on the official website, singer Hamilton Leithauser promises to give us “a lot more about [the album] in the next few days.”
The band have been playing several new songs on tour, check out one of those, tentavily titled “Angela,” which may or may not have made the final 11.
