The Strokes discuss Angles follow-up, possible tour this fall

There has been a fair amount of talk about The Strokes quickly completing another album after just releasing Angles earlier in the year, but also a fair amount of skepticism about just whether this could actually happen. Well, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Albert Hammond Jr. and Nikolai Fraiture indicated that they have indeed been back in the studio, stating “We kinda went back into the studio not to lose the momentum that we had and that we’d been building. We want to finish the album as soon as possible, but we want it to take its natural course and not force anything into happening.”

Also of note, the band hinted at an extensive tour this fall, with Hammond noting that there are some “stars that need to align,” but that the whole band wants to do an American tour, and that it will probably happen. Watch the full interview below.
