Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. After-all, The Strokes just finished LP4, Angles, and released it to mixed reviews. Plus, the band hasn’t even graced America with a proper tour. But, the facts remain. Julian Casablancas has already hinted that the band was anxious to get back into the studio, and it appears that this week, they have.
According to TwentyFourBit, Bassist Nikolai Fraiture was quoted to say the band is “working on some new ideas” right now and will keep the world posted about the progress of their next album. Whether the band will record it all on the quick or are laying foundation for future work remains to be seen, but we can now begin accepting that Angles will not be the last Strokes album. Unless, you know, they implode of the road.
