The National are really starting to saturate the entertainment landscape.
Yesterday we reported that the band, along with Sharon Van Etten, would contribute a new song called “Think You Can Wait” to the upcoming Paul Giamatti flick Win Win (unfortunately, that track has since been removed from Fox Searchlight’s SoundCloud). And now we’ve got word that The National will also be getting in on Portal 2, the upcoming action/puzzle video game.
The National will contribute a completely original track to the game’s soundtrack, following in the footsteps of Jonathan Coulton, whose “Still Alive” appeared in the first Portal installment. No word yet on what the song will be titled or when we might be able to hear it, but the game drops in less than a month on April 18.
